RN Manager – Operating Room (1.0 FTE Day Shift) Location: Portland, Oregon Base Salary - USD $133,515 to $210,787 Employment Type: Full-Time | Day Shift
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic RN Manager – Operating Room to lead and oversee perioperative nursing services within a large, progressive medical center in Portland, Oregon. The Nurse Manager will be accountable for the clinical, operational, and administrative management of the surgical services department, ensuring high-quality patient care and staff engagement aligned with organizational mission and values.
This leadership role provides an excellent opportunity to influence quality outcomes, mentor clinical teams, and support best practices in patient-centered surgical care.
Schedule and Compensation
Full-Time (1.0 FTE) | Day Shift
$10,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible external candidates

Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for all clinical and operational activities within the Operating Room.
Ensure safe, effective, and efficient delivery of surgical nursing care.
Develop and maintain department budgets, staffing, and performance standards.
Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and hospital leadership to optimize workflow and patient outcomes.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Oversee regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, and performance improvement programs.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in perioperative or surgical services.
Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership or management experience in an acute care setting.
Licensure/Certification:
Current unencumbered RN license in the State of Oregon (or eligibility for licensure).
BLS certification required.
CNOR certification preferred.
