Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Registered Nurse (RN) to join a team in Ithaca, New York. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years’ RN experience, preferably with prior charge nurse responsibilities, and hold current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications. This full-time, night-shift role includes the flexibility to fill in regularly as a charge nurse and float to various units as needed.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (RN degree required)
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), with the ability to routinely fill in as a charge nurse
- Experience as a Float RN, able to work in multiple units/departments
- 2+ to 5 years of total nursing experience
- Required Certifications (must be current):
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Soft Skills: Leadership, adaptability, crisis management, and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routinely fill in for charge nurse duties as needed.
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Work as a float RN covering various units and specialty areas as required.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Maintain valid PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications; utilize these skills in clinical care and medical emergencies.
- Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment.
- Report to appropriate clinical supervisors or nurse managers as directed.
