Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated RN OR to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care and service during surgery cases
• Responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case
• Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

Skills Required

1. Interdependent Partnering * Good communication and human relations skills
2. Mastering Complexity * Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative. * Ability to master new skills.
3. Technical/Functional * Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications. * Current nursing assessment and patient care skills. * Telemetry experience necessary

Experience Required

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state.
• CPR certified. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting
• Critical Care or PACU experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state, or possess a compact license.
• Compact licenses must obtain state license within 90 days of hire.
• CPR required, advanced life support certification required within six months of hire.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
