Asterly Well Care Solutions and our partners at Upstate University Hospital are actively seeking two experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to join our surgical team at our Community Campus. This is a temporary contract role ideal for skilled OR nurses seeking a high-acuity, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced adult operating room setting.

• Assist in general, orthopedic, trauma, neurosurgical, and robotic surgical procedures.

• Perform both circulating and scrubbing duties—scrub experience is required.

• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and surgical safety protocols.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Monitor patient vitals, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in pre- and post-op processes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New York State (unrestricted and in good standing).

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an OR nurse in an acute care setting.

• Proficient in scrubbing for various surgeries, especially general, orthopedic, trauma, neuro, and robotic cases.

• Current BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred.

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability.

• EPIC experience preferred but not required.

Additional Information:

• No call, weekends, or holiday shifts required.

• This assignment is located at the Community Campus of Upstate University Hospital.
