Key Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the RN Quality Assurance Reviewer plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of health and safety oversight projects. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting quality assurance reviews to ensure surveys meet investigative and documentation standards
• Monitoring and evaluating survey accuracy, consistency, and compliance with federal regulations
• Leading the design, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of the internal quality assurance program
• Assessing the effectiveness of survey processes and staff competency
• Identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for process enhancements
• Serving as a mentor and trainer for surveyors and, when necessary, customers
• Acting as a representative for the project manager when required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Extensive experience performing quality assurance reviews of healthcare survey reports

• Minimum of five years in a leadership role within long-term care, particularly in geriatric services
• Experience in facility accreditation or certification processes for long-term care residents
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Proven experience in teaching, coaching, and mentoring professionals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to conduct federal surveys, complaint investigations, and crisis response per federal laws and regulations
• Independent decision-making skills with the ability to manage priorities and resolve conflicts
• Successful completion of the CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and the Survey Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
• Up-to-date knowledge of nursing standards and long-term care best practices
