Position Summary
The RN Site Operations Director is responsible for the comprehensive operational leadership of the GSCC Extended Care Clinic, ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with the GSCC’s mission, HRSA requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
This role oversees daily operations, staffing, patient access, quality performance, safety, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship of the site. The RN Site Ops Director serves as the primary liaison between the clinic and executive leadership and ensures integration with organization-wide systems, policies, and performance goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and compassionate service consistent with the GSCC mission.
Direct all day-to-day clinic operations to ensure efficient, safe, and patient-centered care delivery
Maintain appropriate staffing levels and optimize staff scheduling
Monitor patient flow, access to care, and throughput to meet organizational standards
Implement organizational policies, procedures, and standardized workflows
Lead site startup activities and ongoing operational stabilization
Identify and resolve operational barriers impacting access, quality, or efficiency
Monitor provider schedule utilization, patient access metrics, and clinic capacity
Collaborate with Clinical Operations to improve visit productivity and reduce access barriers
Support panel management strategies and access initiatives to ensure timely patient care and continuity
Personnel Management
Provide direct supervision of all site personnel, including clinical support and patient experience (front-desk) staff
Conduct hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
Promote a culture consistent with the GSCC mission, including service to underserved populations
Support staff development, engagement, and retention
Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with HRSA requirements, health center standards, and applicable regulations
Monitor quality measures, risk indicators, and patient experience metrics
Support Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives
Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans
Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
Financial & Productivity Oversight
Monitor operational productivity and efficiency indicators
Support revenue cycle functions, including accurate registration and point-of-service collections
Monitor staffing costs and resource utilization
Identify opportunities to improve financial sustainability while maintaining access to care
Monitor site-level financial performance indicators including visit volume, staffing ratios, and cost control
Integration & Communication
Serve as the primary operational liaison between the site and executive leadership
Coordinate with Patient Experience, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, IT, Facilities, Pharmacy, and Billing departments
Implement organization-directed initiatives and workflows at the site level
Communicate operational risks, barriers, and resource needs proactively
Ensure adherence to standardized clinical and operational workflows across the site
Clinical Qualifications
An active Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma is required to support clinical operations in a provider-led environment.
RN preparation supports:

Communication with supervising physicians
Participation in quality and incident review processes
Infection prevention compliance
Clinical credibility with nursing and medical assistant staff

The RN Site Operations Director is accountable for supporting site performance in the following areas:

Patient access and cycle time
Patient experience scores
Quality measure performance
Pharmacy capture support
Staff engagement and retention
Operational compliance
Required Qualifications
Active Oklahoma RN license
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or related field
Minimum five (5) years of healthcare operations experience
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or management experience
Knowledge of ambulatory care operations and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an FQHC or community health center
Experience in urgent care, primary care, or extended-hours clinic operations
Experience opening or integrating a new clinical site
Work Schedule
Schedule aligned with clinic operating hours
May include evenings and weekends
Increased on-site presence during startup period
Availability for urgent operational issues
