Pay: $40-$43 Per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Stepdown Unit for the night shift. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to individuals transitioning from intensive care who require close monitoring and specialized nursing care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care for Stepdown/Intermediate Care patients during the night shift.

Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac monitoring, and response to treatments.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.

Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred or required depending on facility policy.

Minimum 1–2 years of recent Stepdown, PCU, or ICU experience preferred.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work effectively during overnight shifts and in a high-acuity environment.
