We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Telemetry to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit, monitoring patients' vital signs, and ensuring their comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and telemetry readings continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in pain management strategies.
- Provide discharge planning support to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the hospital.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care effectively.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the telemetry unit.
Years of Experience: 1 year(s)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Charting System: Epic
Skills
- Proficient in suture techniques and wound care management.
- Knowledgeable in occupational health practices relevant to patient care.
- Experience with pain management protocols for diverse patient populations.
- Strong background in discharge planning processes to facilitate patient transitions.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation systems used in telemetry settings.
- Ability to provide specialized care for infants when necessary.
- Understanding of ophthalmology-related nursing practices as they pertain to telemetry patients.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate care within a hospital environment.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
