About New Moon MedSpa
New Moon MedSpa is a growing medical spa in Albuquerque specializing in IV therapy, neuromodulation, advanced skincare treatments, and other medical-grade aesthetic services. We are seeking a Full-Time RN or LPN – Aesthetic Skincare Specialist who is passionate about skincare, client education, and high-quality aesthetic care.
Position Summary
The RN or LPN – Aesthetic Skincare Specialist provides advanced skincare treatments including facials, chemical peels, laser procedures, and comprehensive skin assessments. This position ensures safe, effective, and client-centered care under physician oversight while maintaining compliance with the New Mexico Nursing Practice Act, OSHA, HIPAA, and MedSpa protocols.
Already-trained aesthetic nurses are strongly preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, strong clinical skills, and a passion for aesthetics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive skin assessments and recommend individualized treatment plans
Provide aesthetic treatments including:
Medical-grade facials
Chemical peels
Microdermabrasion
Laser and light-based procedures (as trained and authorized)
Educate clients on skincare regimens, treatment options, and post-procedure care
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA
Follow manufacturer guidelines and MedSpa protocols for all devices and products
Maintain OSHA-compliant infection control standards
Assist with skincare product recommendations and retail sales
Maintain clean, stocked, and organized treatment rooms
Monitor for adverse reactions and escalate concerns appropriately
Qualifications & Licensure
Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in New Mexico
Aesthetic, dermatology, or med spa experience preferred
Certification or training in chemical peels, laser treatments, and advanced skincare preferred
Willingness to complete aesthetic training if not already certified
Strong knowledge of skin anatomy and skincare ingredients (or willingness to learn)
Excellent communication, professionalism, and client service skills
Professional appearance and team-oriented attitude
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods during treatments
Fine motor skills for detailed skin procedures
Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 25 lbs
Compensation
LPN: $35 per hour
RN: $45 per hour
