Accounting Manager - Cypress, CA

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who can lead and motivate accounting staff members and oversee all of the Accounting operations including financial analysis and reporting, budget management, forecasting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. In this role, you will support senior management with internal and external reporting requirements in accordance to GAAP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the general accounting function

• Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.

• Perform technical accounting research and provide recommendations to management and guidance to finance teams

• Issue timely and complete financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flow and related financial data

• Perform P&L analysis

• Review production of Royalty reports, Commission reports, Fixed Assets schedules, Cash Flow reports, Pre-paid schedules, Inventory roll forward, AP Aging, AR Aging, Accruals, and account reconciliations

• Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization

• Provides financial projections by coordinating budget/forecast preparation; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial information; advising departments on the collection and analysis of data

• Develops accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

• Leads and directs the work of others

• Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 6+ years Accounting experience with strong understand of GAAP

• Experience in tax (Sales and used taxes, State and Federal taxes, local and business taxes)

• Experience in Management, Accounting, or a related field may be preferred

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles

• Team player who can thrive in a fast paced environment

• High level of efficiency and accuracy

• Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.

• CPA or CMA a plus
