ROARK has partnered with a fast-growing manufacturing company in the Inland Empire who is looking for a Payroll Specialist. Please see responsibilities and requirements below.
Responsibilities:
- Processing payroll, including ad-hoc paychecks for off-cycle payments
- Reviewing/reconciling time and attendance records
- Reviewing employee master record changes/updates for accuracy
- Reconciling payroll sub-ledger to the general ledger, including annual W-2 reconciliations to payroll expense
- Preparing necessary payroll journal entries, as required
- Reviewing payroll service provider reporting for payroll taxes and governmental reporting for accuracy
- Preparing/reviewing monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll statements for accuracy
- Ensuring compliance with current government regulations
- Assistance with establishing and implementing policies on payroll related matters, including garnishments, employee reimbursements, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned
Educations/skills:
- Automated payroll processing system experience required, Paycom experience a plus
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
