    The Accounting Supervisor will report directly to the Controller of the company. This position is ideal for a professional who is looking for a leadership opportunity where they can immediately see their impact on the organization and help shape the vision and growth trajectory of the company. The Accounting Supervisor will work closely with the Controller and Owner to oversee and improve company’s accounting team, as well as strive to improve internal operational efficiencies.

     

    Looking for someone with exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial mindset who will participate in the implementation of new software for 2021. The Accounting Supervisor will also collaborate with the executive team and receive full support for success and growth.

     

    THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and direct a team of 5 property accountants
    • Communicate effectively with Clients regarding financial report
    • Provide direction for best practices for team
    • Hold bi-weekly meetings and collaborate with team leads to determine department strengths and weaknesses
    • Review, analyze, and present to the management team the month-end, quarter-end, and annual financial statements of the portfolio.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on the portfolio performance.
    • Oversee CAM reconciliations and budget variance reports.
    • Oversee AR/AP functions and timely distributions to institutional partners.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits/tax returns of portfolio.
    • Serve as the management liaison between the property accounting team and the property management team and other internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of accounting reports and maintain communication.
    • Oversee updates and training for the accounting system

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in managing/supervising 5 employees
    • Must have exceptional leadership skills with challenge of remote offices and Employees WFH
    • 5+ years’ work experience
    • Understand lease agreements and abstracting
    • Ability to learn employer specific web base software programs
    • Applicants must have strong organization skill and excellent oral and technical writing skills
    • Experience in various approaches to data gathering
    • Must have strong analytical skills for structuring and solving problems
    • Detail oriented, self-starters, and committed to clients, deadlines, and budgets
    • Experience with Real Page software a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft software; including Office 365 preferred
