    JOB DESCRIPTION

    POSITION TITLE:         Bookkeeper

    DEPARTMENT NAME:        Finance

    SUPERVISOR'S TITLE:          CFO

    OBJECTIVE:

    To provide Bookkeeping support to the ROC Ventures finance department. This includes the creation of financial transactions including the posting of information to accounting software from source documents including but not limited to: invoices to customers, cash receipts, & supplier invoices. This position will also be responsible to reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    BOOKKEEPING

    • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
    • Conduct a weekly reconciliation of bank accounts
    • Maintain the chart of accounts
    • Maintain an orderly accounting system
    • Assist with month-end closing

              

    ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

    • Match payments to invoices
    • Maintain records by scanning invoices, debits, credits, etc.
    • Prepare invoices in accordance with schedules, contracts, agreements, etc.
    • Verify validity of account discrepancies
    • Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
    • Assist with collection efforts as needed

    OTHER

    • Provide clerical & administrative support to management as requested
    • Other duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Associate degree in accounting or 3 years' experience in similar role
    • Knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Proficient in QuickBooks Online
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
    • Excellent Organization Skills
