  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for multiple Controllers to support our clients in healthcare and finance.

    The Controller is responsible for the day-to-day financial affairs of the Finance and Accounting Department. The role serves as a resource for financial related questions and serves as a contact for corporate. The Controller is responsible for the financial and statistical reporting. This includes preparation and accuracy of the financial statements, audits reports, tax filing, and statistical reports for both internal and external users. The Controller manages, develops, and oversees daily operations including achieving operating and capital budgets, coding for maximum reimbursement, appropriate billing practices and service delivery to stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Coordinate system-wide month-end, quarter end and year-end financial close including reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet.
    • Manage internal reporting on the consolidated system-wide results including monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables to leadership.
    • Reconcile eliminations and confirm intercompany balances with subsidiaries and other group entities.
    • Facilitate all activities related to external audits including attending meetings, understanding observations, interpreting policy and procedure and whether findings represent SOX deficiencies, and contributing to the development of innovative remediation and process improvement opportunities.
    • Partner with business leaders to ensure control of the environment accurately reflects current practices and procedures.
    • Work with internal finance team to understand and evaluate changes in control environment for SOX reporting and compliance purposes, and follow-up with local and divisional finance personnel to implement more efficient and effective processes.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and people skills with polished written and oral communication skills with exceptional regulatory, reimbursement, financial analysis, and business planning skills.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and US GAAP.
    • Experience with financial software and consolidation systems.
    • Continuously improve and streamline consolidation processes to enhance efficiency.
    • Stay up to date with accounting standards and regulations, implementing changes as needed.

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
    • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business is preferred.
    • CPA not required, preferred.

    Experience:

    • Seven plus years of progressive experience is required.
    • Three or more years of management experience.
    • External reporting experience required (SEC quarterly and annual requirements).
    • Experience with internal controls over financial reporting (Sarbanes-Oxley) is required.
    • Strong technical accounting experience with new pronouncements and/or system transactions is required.
    • Experience coordinating with external auditor.
