    JOB TITLE:      DEVELOPMENT & GRANTS COORDINATOR

    REPORTS TO:   Development Director

    STATUS:           Full time/exempt

    JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Development Coordinator is to maintain the database including data entry, gift recording and acknowledgement plus maintenance of prospect and donor data. Additionally this position is responsible for the research, writing, and submission of grants to meet the designated prospected budget each year.

      GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

    • Coordinate all duties relative to processing, recording, and acknowledging gifts and payments:
      • Accurate data entry for gifts, volunteers and guest families including tax receipts and acknowledgements
      • Main liaison with software company and the organization.
      • Manage the thank you process to donors
      • Develop written SOP’s for database management
      • Train existing and new employees on database
      • Work with accounting to ensure reconciliation of gifts and payments and gift acknowledgements.
      • Develop yearly Radar report for RMHC Global
      • Manage all gift cards for organization including audit trail
    • Manage the donor-related data needs of the development team
      • Generate reports and queries to support fundraising efforts and analyze the effectiveness of appeals and other development efforts
      • Monitor security, run regular data integrity checks, and work to apply updates as needed
      • Assist in annual giving campaign
    • Help maintain compliance with state and federal laws governing non-profit solicitation and tax deduction records for donors
    • Managing the mail opening and following SOP for double authentication.

    Executive Assistance:

    ·       Help maintain calendar for ED

    ·       Set up meetings for Board, Executive Committee and Finance Committee.

    ·       Manage pre-reads distribution and meeting minutes.

    ·       Invoice and payment processing

    ·       Review all documents with ED signature as a double check for organization

    ·       Manage resumes/interview process for recruiting direct reports

    ·       Additional support as needed

    Grants

    ·       Assist in development, submission, and response for all grants.

    ·       Submit all necessary grant reports and follow-ups as determined by each individual proposal.

    ·       Manage documents and timing for all grant proposals and prospects.

    Other

    ·       Additional House Services support as needed.

    ·       Attendee coordination prior to events in conjunction with the database entry.

    ·       Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Minimum of three years office experience, preferably in a non-profit setting or other related field
    • Proven competencies in software applications and programs, particularly Exceed or other fundraising databases, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Power Point.  Excellent word processing and file management skills.
    • Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
    • Attention to detail, follow up and excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to function professionally under pressure, while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and self-initiate
