    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Under the supervision of the Program Director the Primary Therapist is responsible for developing the treatment plan for all ROWI clients. The Primary Therapist will be responsible for guiding the clients throughout the treatment experience.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Complete Initial Assessments and review all admission paperwork with clients upon admit.
    • Complete Initial Treatment Plan within 24 hours of admission.
    • Complete Biopsychosocial within 7 days of admission.
    • Complete Master Treatment Plan within 2 weeks of admission.
    • Document all activity in Bestnotes on the day the activity took place.
    • All documentation in Best Notes must be submitted within 24 hours.
    • Communicate critical information to the treatment team.
    • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions 1-2 times per week with each client and complete progress notes.
    • Facilitate group therapy with clients as needed.
    • Assist family therapist with discharge planning and discharge summary.
    • Begin and end groups and sessions on time.
    • Serve as a role model to treatment staff, clients, employees, and guests through a positive, caring, and professional attitude.
    • Maintain the confidential nature of clients and related activities.
    • Comply with the dress code.
    • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Attend designated staff and in-service meetings.
    • Any additional duties as assigned by the management team.

     

    OTHER RELATED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Engage in appropriate written and verbal communication with families, referral sources and other professionals.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to write reports or articles.
    • Ability to manage time effectively.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Proficient in basic computer skills.
    • Able to maintain clear boundaries with clients and staff.
    • Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.

     

    BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or Social Work.
    • The Primary Therapist will be licensed or license eligible as an MFT, registered intern, Clinical Psychologist or Social Worker. Unlicensed clinicians will work with a licensed supervisor.
    • Minimum of 2-5 years of related field experience preferred.

     

    KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments.
    • Ability to handle and maintain confidential client information.
    • Ability to maintain clear boundaries with clients and staff.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Willing to work beyond normal working hours, weekends, holidays, and/or on other shifts in other positions, when necessary.
    • Must be knowledgeable of behavioral health industry practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Must be able to communicate with people from all educational and cultural backgrounds.
    • Must have strong written communication skills.
    • Must cope constructively with stressful situations.
    • Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professional manner, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude.
    • Documents clearly and efficiently.

     

     ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and eligibility for insurance with agency’s vehicles.
    • Must have valid First-Aid & CPR Certification or be willing to obtain.

    Full Time Position. * Pay will commensurate with experience and licensure. Associates: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour. Licensed therapists: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
