Job Description
Under the direction of the Compliance Officer, the overall goal of this position is to ensure the success of the Compliance Department and properties assigned in the South Jersey Portfolio.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and maintain appropriate leases, lease renewals and annual re-certifications timely
- Periodic travel to the sites in South Jersey
- Completing full certifications in bulk at local on-site offices and assist co-workers when necessary
- Assist Compliance Officer in providing financial reporting and addressing compliance items for assigned properties
- Ensure accuracy of lease input into Yardi
- Ensure rent portion letters are received timely and include annual increases
- Basic property management functions including but not limited to, explaining and processing transfer requests, reasonable accommodation requests and reporting complaints to the Property Manager.
- Complete recertifications timely
- Travel to properties throughout NJ in order to complete on-site income certifications
- Ensure all renewal rent charges and subsidy portions are accurate in Yardi
- Submit rent adjustments, when required, to accounting/billing agent within the allotted time frame, ensuring proper billing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 YEARS OF LIHTC KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN YARDI VOYAGER OR SIMILAR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE A MUST.
- Bi-lingual
- Certified tax credit professional preferred
- Valid driver’s license and be able to travel to each of our properties independently
- Superior writing and analytical skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
