    The Wellness Assistant/Driver implements all aspects of the Wellness program as requested. Supports the Wellness team to meet the community's wellness philosophy and the 6 dimensions of whole person health (Vocational, Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual). In some instances, will provide safe and courteous transportation to our senior residents and assuring the safety and maintenance of vehicles.

     THIS ROLE REQUIRES SOMEONE WHO REALLY ENJOYS BEING WITH SENIORS, LOVES TO HAVE FUN AND IS OKAY WITH BEING IN THE SPOTLIGHT**

    HERE ARE A FEW OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS THAT ARE EXPECTED OF OUR WELLNESS ASSISTANT/DRIVER ON A DAILY BASIS: ******MUST BE WILLING TO OBTAIN A CDL P WITHIN 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT - AVAILABILITY ON NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS.

    •  

      Approach all encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner

      • Monitor residents’ well-being in a general way

      • Report any changes in the condition of a resident to supervisor immediately

      • Assist residents with requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assist

      • Look for opportunities to exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction

      • Implement a variety of group and individual wellness programs that meet the varying needs of the residents and staff

      • Assist Wellness Director to present programs that meet the emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual and vocational needs of the residents and staff

      • Promote resident attendance and participation in all Wellness programs

      • Teach and instruct classes as appropriate

      • Respond to residents individually to meet their Wellness needs based on activity level, acuity, interests, and feedback

      • Monitor residents’ participation and activity levels and provide feedback to the Wellness Director as needed

      • Work with volunteers and community groups as needed to implement various programs and events

      • Assist in setting up/tearing down Wellness and community events as needed

      • Perform function ability assessments and quality of life indexes for participants, as requested

      • Assist with scheduling transportation as required

      • Drive vehicles as necessary

      • Support open and honest communication with and between all associates

      • Represent the Kisco PVBs and The Art of Living WellSM on a daily basis

      • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working

      • Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis

      • Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately

      • Support continuous improvement

      • Comply with Kisco standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations

      • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required

    Required Experience

    High school graduate, experience in wellness programs (preferably with seniors) preferred.

    • Background in different dimensions of wellness is beneficial.
    • Experience driving commercial vehicle and knowledge of local area is important.
    • Must have knowledge of laws regarding the vehicle and safe driving standards.
