RESPIRATORY THERAPIST

1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. 
2. Performs direct patient care and the provision of Respiratory Care and Hyperbaric Medicine (for those special trained) procedures in all areas within the facility.
3. Performs all procedures according to policy & procedure. Organizes workload to ensure therapy is completed as proscribed.
4. Participates in all aspects of RC educational activities & departmental meetings.
5. Documents & maintains records, charts and reports in a timely manner & documents appropriately.
6. Responds to all Medical Alerts  in a timely manner & documents appropriately.
7. Exercises sound clinical judgment & assessment skills to provide appropriate provision of patient care & monitoring & communication of information to other caregivers.
8. Evaluates patient care & makes recommendations when needed.
9. Special trained – Performs Pulmonary Functions and EKG
10. Performs all other duties as assigned.

PRN positions available at the Loris and Seacoast campuses.

Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

• One year of experience in Respiratory Care

• Participation in the National Board for Respiratory Care's (NBRC) Continuing Competency Program to maintain credential if received credential after July 1, 2002

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:

• Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist. 

• Respiratory Care Practitioner by the SC Board of Medical Examiners

• BLS certification

Required Experience
