  • Responsibilities

    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    The overall responsibility of the Territory Sales Representative is to focus on attracting new customers and servicing present customers to increase sales, and increasing contribution margin, while providing outstanding service for the states of Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Colorado.

    Prefer candidates that currently live in Illinois or close proximity.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    A.   Sales

    • To contact and maintain strong relationships with new and current  customers to  gain orders for the Industrial Markets Group
    • To increase market share in the designated geographic area
    • To correctly identify customer’s specifications to ensure meeting customer’s expectations while outlining manufacturing requirements
    • To recommend potential customer parts for quoting and allowing for best placement of part for manufacturing.
    • To take immediate action on any customer to ensure retention of business for possible growth.
    • To improve process for safety, productivity, easier handling, and increase of productivity, reduce waste, reduce scrap, or work flow allows for a better work stream including eliminating steps.

    B.   Customers

    • To ensure the product meets or exceeds customer specifications including all Quality Standards assigned.
    • Interact with customers on regular basis to resolve quality issues, improvements, product/process changes which affect the product functionality and performance.
    • Make recommendations and regular visits to customers to facilitate the necessary modifications to maintain and build customer relations

    C.   Development of Business for IMPG

    • Educate and re-enforce to all customers or internal associates processes, procedures, prices, cost, and contribution which build understanding of manufacturing parts for the customer
    • Identify and actively coach customers on Flambeau products, within IPG and brand products.
    • Interact on regular basis with customers to decrease problems or issues

    Required Skills

    • Ability to analyze and make recommendations on manufacturing of proper product for customers
    • Strong interpersonal communications skills in written, electronic and verbal methods
    • Intermediate skills with computers and in Microsoft Office Suite, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and ERP required.
    • Must be willing to travel up to 50-70%.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelors level degree in business preferred or communications, engineering, industrial technology, quality, manufacturing, or similar level of experience
    • Experience with industrial sales of plastic products highly preferred.
    • Must have experience with forecasting, lead generation, and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
    • Proficient closing ratio track record
    • Technical background which may include blow molding or injection molding of plastics
    • Must have experience selling a tangible product
