POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for patrolling and monitoring the property, buildings and access points, to maintain order and enforce regulations and for the safety and security of the community, residents, associates and visitors; permitting entry, identifying irregularities, being aware of and taking action to remove trespassers, without interrupting the orderly flow of property operations. Respond to emergencies appropriately and with expediency, assist with emergencies, disturbances and investigations, as required. Provide excellent customer service so as to protect the community and residents and facilitate the maintenance of a warm, secure and friendly environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Monitor residents’ well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition to the appropriate associate/department immediately
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services of the community. Assist residents with requests as needed or find appropriate associate to assist
Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction
Provide protection for the residents, guests, associates and visitors
Respond to emergencies and call Police and Fire and Rescue as necessary
Prepare reports and forms as required in connection with the Security Department
Maintain the resident and visitor databases
Patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Monitor and authorize gate access
Maintain a safe and professional manner at all times while driving community vehicles and when representing the community off site
Support open and honest communication with and between all associates
Represent the Kisco PVBs and The Art of Living WellSM on a daily basis
Work as part of the team within your department and across the community
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis
Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately
Support continuous improvement
Comply with Kisco standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations
Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook
Understand and support the community sales process
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate
One to two years of experience as a Security Guard (preferably with seniors)
MUST HAVE A D-LICENSE
