  • Responsibilities
    1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
    2. The Assistant Director will assist the Director in planning, implementing and managing day to day operations of McLeod Loris Registration.
    3. Plans and administers, directly and through subordinate supervisory personnel, the effective management and delivery of the Registration process and responsibilities for all of McLeod Health.
    4. Maintains cooperative working relationships with various hospital personnel and physicians in order to resolve problems, enhance smooth delivery of services, and to plan for the future. Attends and participates in department meetings as required by job function and title.
    5. Manages personnel in a caring and compassionate manner. Assists with selecting new employees and growing existing employees.
    6. Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field through continuing education. Presents new information and demonstrates knowledge by making suggestions for operations.
    7. Completes timely performance evaluations and competencies.
    8. Prepares work schedules for coverage of Registration areas; considers request for time off in fair and consistent manner
    9. Organizes and distributes work assignments, minimizing overtime and rework, monitors productivity.
    10. Continues on-going training for new and existing hires regarding specific departmental procedures.

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a healthcare environment
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (data tables, graphs, pivot tables, formulas)
    • Written and oral communication skills with persons of all ages and diverse backgrounds
    • Excellent customer service skills are

     

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:

    Minimum of a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school
