    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    At Kisco Senior Living, the HR Generalist is part of the Home Office People Services Team and assists with all aspects of Human Resources. As well as provides assistance to the Home Office and all communities as needed to include but not limited to: benefits, employee relations, payroll, performance management, administering policies and procedures, and HRIS. Assists with the design, development and implementation of competitive and cost-effective benefit programs for all associates. Performs various corporate Human Resource functions and projects including conceptualizing, researching and implementing various programs, policies and practices. Provides administrative and technical support as needed.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Responsible for the day to day management of the benefits programs and is the Home Office contact for associate benefits related questions (healthcare, 401K, etc.…)
    • Create and monitor employee benefit metrics for use in plan design decision making.
    • Integrates Kisco’s wellness culture and goals into benefit offerings for all associates.
    • Carries out regular benefits audits.
    • Part of the team that manages the annual 401K audit process
    • Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the systems and transactions connected with the 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, including committee meetings and minutes.
    • Acts as the liaison between KSL and the benefits broker
    • Responsible for coordinating the annual Open Enrollment activities for the Home Office and Communities, to include the Know Your Numbers health screenings.
    • Responsible for managing the Kisco Spirit Scholarship program
    • Responsible for compliance with human resources related company policies as well as all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Supports development and management of the People Services – Operations department budget.
    • Contributes to the formulation of Human Resources Department plans, policies and procedures, objectives and strategies.
    • Work with the Community Executive Director and Home Office Human Resources Department, as appropriate, to timely and appropriately address, investigate and resolve associate grievances and complaints.
    • Prepares and maintains, spreadsheets, reports and other documents required for presentation of data.
    • Part of the team that manages and implements New Hire Orientation Program for the Home Office associates and new Community Human Resource members.
    • Participates in HR training programs for the Home Office and communities.
    • Ensures the HR intranet site is accurate and up to date, posting new policies, procedures and programs.
    • Provides HR interim coverage at communities in absence of HR person

     

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

     

    • BS/BA degree with 3 years human resources generalist experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. A good working knowledge of benefits programs and structure.
    • Extensive experience in a senior administration capacity required, with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
    • Project management experience desired.

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS:

     

    • Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or Benefits certification
