  • Responsibilities

    Health Dialog’s Pharmacy Solutions team is looking for Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT) to work as Care Navigators in the state of Texas. This position is a remote, work from home opportunity but you must live in Texas.

    What does a Care Navigator - CPhT do?

    • Perform interactive telephonic outreach to engage patients through motivational interviewing to assist them in changing behaviors related to medication use and adherence.
    • Use scripted communication prompts to reach, engage, and provide medication and condition education and complementary resources.
    • Address patient questions, concerns and identify barriers to medication adherence.
    • Complete services on patient's behalf, including refill requests and enrollment in predictive refill program.
    • Does not include any insurance adjudication or related activities.

    What skills and experience are required?

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
    • Actively registered in good standing as a Pharmacy Technician in Texas
    • Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB, NHA)
    • 2 years' experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare or retail pharmacy setting required
    • Experience in a pharmacy related call center strongly preferred
    • Experience in a call center or phone support role helpful
    • Excellent verbal and written skills in English; fluent in Spanish a plus
    • Experience with common medical pharmacy terms and medication names (uses and pronunciation)
    • General knowledge of therapeutic categories and common indications of medications
    • Ability to use pharmaceutical references
    • Strong computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to assemble computer set-up at home
    • Display a high degree of dependability in personal attendance and punctuality

    What hours will I work?

    • 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Eastern Time (ET)
    • Monday - Friday
    • Full-time position (40 hours per week)

    Where is this job located?

    • Candidate must live and work in Texas.
    • This is a remote work from home position. Candidates will be required to meet home office and internet speed requirements.
