    RN JOB SUMMARY

    1. Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination and analysis of diagnostic data.
    2. Plans individualized nursing care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.
    3. Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care.
    4. Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
    5. Utilizes standard work in caring for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable to unit), restraints and patients at risk for falls.
    6. Contributes to the daily efficient performance of the department, as charge nurse when assigned (Advances Resuscitative Certification appropriate to their patient population if serving in a Charge Nurse or PCS position).
    7. Contributes to the overall performance of the department through the precepting of novice employees.

    QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

    • Experience preferred.  New grad RNs welcome to apply.
    • Will cross train to ICU.

      

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:

    • Must possess a valid SC license- RN, BLS
    • Advanced Resuscitative Certification appropriate to their patient population if serving in a Charge Nurse or PCS position 
    • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire for Critical Care Services

    WORK SCHEDULE

    • Full-time, 72hrs biweekly; 7am-7pm; Rotating weekends and holidays. Call is required.

    WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

    • Manage and lead MEP subcontractors throughout duration of the project (from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to owner).
    • Evaluates the complexity of the mechanical/electrical design and estimates both the construction and maintenance costs.
    • Ensures the constructability of the design and compatibility with local building codes.
    • Assist estimating with bidding and preconstruction, defining/developing scope of work for MEP and evaluating subsequent bids.
    • Work with superintendent and project management staff on project logistics and temporary facility plans.
    • Serves as a technical resource in meeting with owners and architects. Discusses the mechanical/electrical systems within the building in technical terms and effectively communicate any anticipated difficulties with the plans. 
    • Represent The Boldt Company in regards to the MEP process at weekly owner’s meetings. May hold separate meetings with MEP subcontractors as necessary.
    • Ensures that all mechanical/electrical shop drawings are submitted by the subs in a timely manner. Examines all shop drawings for completeness. Coordinates shop drawings between subcontractors to further reduce design errors.
    • Performs detailed inspections of work in progress to ensure quality of installation, and to ensure adequacy of the systems and meets regularly with city inspectors. Points out deficiencies promptly with responsible parties and follows up to ensure that deficiencies are corrected.
    • Assist scheduling activities with developing detailed CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading, and assists in planning the daily and weekly activities for each craft.
    • Assists the project manager as necessary in estimating change orders.
    • Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed by project manager, project director, owner’s representative, architect, etc. 
    • Supervise, train, develop and mentor MEP project engineers and coordinators.
