  • Responsibilities

    The Director of Clinical Analytics oversees the clinical aspects of Health Dialog's analytics infrastructure and is a subject matter expert on topics related to diseases, medications, and clinical data.  The Director also spends time as an individual contributor on quantitative analysis and qualitative research that inform strategic aspects of the delivery of Health Dialog's services and measurement of their effectiveness.

     

    The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

    • Manages 2-4 staff members, providing direction on priorities, assisting with problem-solving, and holding regular check-ins and performance discussions
    • Provides clinical input into maintenance and expansion of existing analytics infrastructure and team's future roadmap
    • Analyzes estimated potential opportunity and impact to support sales opportunities and new Health Dialog product concepts
    • Devises strategies to assess health outcomes within Health Dialog's service segments, including cohort analysis, pre/post analysis, trending, financial and utilization measures, quality measures, and disease progression
    • Summarizes analysis results in clear, succinct ways to enable understanding by senior-level audiences internal and external to Health Dialog
    • Represents team in key cross-functional settings or committees to ensure analytics and reporting concepts and impacts are considered
    • Stays abreast of the latest developments in the medical and public health space, including changes in clinical care guidelines and standard quality measures (e.g., CMS Five-Star system) that may be relevant to Health Dialog's business
    • Participate in required trainings as assigned and support security and compliance related activities and tasks throughout execution of all job duties

     

    This position directly supervises other associates and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Health Dialog policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

     

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Economics, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • 5 years of experience in data analytics in the healthcare field required.
    • Microsoft Excel experience required.
    • Coding experience in at least one of: SAS, SQL, Python, R required.
    • Knowledge of standard healthcare claim code sets: ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, NDC required.
    • Knowledge of machine-learning predictive analytics concepts required.
    • Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or another data visualization tool preferred.
    • Knowledge of healthcare quality measures: HEDIS, CMS Star ratings preferred

     

    LOCATION

    This position is a home-based remote position and can be located anywhere in the US. Candidates will need to meet Health Dialog’s remote working requirements.

     

    TRAVEL Travel to client sites or other company-owned facilities required. Travel is infrequent approximately 3-4 times per year.

    • Work closely with management staff to understand and assist with implementing action plans to achieve department objectives.
    • Reinforce and promote safety training and safe work practices; participate in safety meetings.
    • Analyze and resolve work related problems and assist employees with troubleshooting and solving manufacturing/quality problems.
    • Maintain a positive employee relations environment.
    • Understand the impact of operational decisions on the budget; controlling variable expenses.
    • Assist management with supporting and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce process variations and manufacturing delays and to increase productivity.
    • Ensure departmental maintenance activities, training, EHS tasks and special projects are completed within deadlines.
    • Report any problems, potential problems, or hazardous situations that may exist or any other pertinent information that may help improve efficiencies and productivity.
    • Read, understand and comply with relevant federal, state, local and company safety regulations and policies (e.g., OSHA, Personal Protective Equipment, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection, Glasses, etc.)
    • Maintain a clean work area by properly storing supplies and equipment, cleaning tools and eliminating waste/spills.
    • Recognize diversity and act professionally with all people in the work environment.
    • Must be able to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions.
    • Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems; consistently identifying critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions.
    • Capable of working various shifts, including night shift.
