  • Responsibilities

    The Resident Assistant is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.

     

    WHAT WILL I DO EVERY DAY?

     

    • You will assist residents with simple requests as needed
    • Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation and other activities
    • Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations
    • Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
    • Document care provided to residents consistent with documentation standards
    • Provide input to assure that resident individual service plans are current
    • Review 24 Hour Report and care check lists regularly
    • Maintain upkeep of residents’ rooms (e.g., making bed, taking out trash, washing dishes)
    • As well as perform other related duties as required

     

     

    WHAT WILL I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

    • High school education or GED equivalent preferred
    • Nursing assistant course recommended

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS I MAY NEED?

    • First Aid certification and CPR, if required
    • Must meet State training requirements and/or certifications
    • Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) is desirable

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Support Vice President of Risk Management in the following duties:
      • Coordinate collection of exposure data from internal business units and external sources for insurance programs, including General Liability, Commercial Liability, Products Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, Umbrella/Excess Liability, Foreign/International exposures, Motor Truck Cargo, Aviation Liability and First party Property insurance coverage, including Business Interruption, for all domestic and foreign locations
      • Assist as needed with placement of complicated liability coverage’s, including all Errors & Omissions exposure, Network Liability, Crime, Fiduciary, Employment Practices and Special Liability policies
      • Participate in the development, evaluation and implementation of risk financing strategies, setting retention levels and selecting risk transfer limits
      • Implement strategies through negotiating insurance contracts, establishing policy terms and conditions, conducting pricing and cost-benefit
      • Review policy documentation to ensure accuracy
      • Assist with policy audits
      • Review insurance language negotiated in customer contracts
    • Serve as single point of contact for facilities regarding insurance inquiries
    • Oversee insurance company audits of RRD’s internal business records
    • Assist Director with allocation of premium and expenses to facilities through RMIS tool
    • Manage self-insurance run-off requirements for states where previously held self-insured status
