ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Visualizes and works with molds in three dimensions, using reverse images
- Digitizes client contours from plaster casts, splints and foam-in-place sent by the customer
- Examines field digitized client images and determines their suitability
- Uses BioSculptor software to design ContourU seating system, as specified on customer order
- Reviews customer orders and uses selected options to make decisions on final design
- Generates and sends CNC carver control files to the plant for processing
- Provides customer support in the use of the Skirbbl’r digitizing hardware and software
- Consults with customers on order options, when questions arise
- Uses phone, fax and Email to communicate with customers and others in the organization
- Digitizes Silhouette data forms using digital drawing pad
- Designs Silhouette seating systems using SeatMaker II software
- Assist with customer training, occasionally involving travel
- Enters wood mount data into CNC Router software and optimizes layout
- Evaluates Remake and Returned product and generates modified designs
- Keeps records of design parameters and reasons for their selection
- Logs incoming orders and assigns serial numbers to cushions
- Performs visual inspection of carved molds
- Retrieves information from AMAPS and Oracle
- Uses Information Center to retrieve product/process information
- Performs job in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Maintains an organized and clean working environment
- Adheres to all safety policies
- Complete all required training applicable to assigned position

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Two years experience in a manufacturing support function
- Must be able to visualize and work in three dimensions and in reversed images
- Ability to read and calculate fractions, decimals and geometrical calculations
- Well versed in computer operating systems, file transfer and Email use
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presentation on the phone, when dealing with customers
- Understanding and experienced in mold calibration, preparation and pouring process (experience preferred)
- Understanding of wheelchair seat mounting methods (experience preferred)
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job
