    MCLEOD ONCOLOGY & HEMATOLOGY OFFICE SEACOAST (PHYSICIAN PRACTICE)

     CERTIFIED MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

     JOB SUMMARY:

    1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
    2. Organize and perform analysis of specimens to include quality control.
    3. Evaluate validity of results obtained. Record and report results.
    4. Perform routine and pre-routine maintenance.
    5. Train and document proficiency of assigned employees/students as directed by supervisor. Present formal lectures to Medical Technology students or formal in-service to employee/student or guests.
    6. Develop personal knowledge of trends, developments, and techniques through journals and trade publications, in-service programs, and continuing education.
    7. Collect, prepare, store and/or transport specimens using correct techniques, anticoagulants, and protocol.
    8. Assist in maintaining supplies.
    9. Review worksheet status, technical inquiry, uncollected tests and printed worksheets for technical and clerical accuracy and assure necessary corrections to appropriate records are made.
    10. When assigned coordinates and supervises daily technical activities.
    11. Analyze processes of highly complex testing to validate  results and quality assurance

      

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:

    • Certification by recognized national certifying agency. ASCP certification preferred.
    • Minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology.
    • Qualified to perform moderate and highly complexity testing as defined by CLIA 88

    WORK SCHEDULE: 80 hours biweekly.  Full Time

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or in appropriate biological, chemical or physical science plus minimum of twelve months training in accredited school of medical technology or equivalent work experience required.  Certification by recognized national certifying agency strongly preferred.

    • Promote Boldt’s services, image and brand with clients, community, industry organizations and markets.
    • Identify, develop and maintain strategic client, A/E (architect/engineer), and industry specialist relationships.
    • Attend defined and productive community events, conferences, tradeshows and AEC events with the goal of cultivating relationships for future business opportunities.
    • Develop a strategic action plan to continually interface with targeted clients and professional services providers in the industry.
    • Play an active role in the local business community, including active participation in strategic local professional and community organizations.
    • Provide leadership in problem resolution and seek continuous feedback from clients through a variety of methods.
    • Identify, develop strategy for, and pursue targeted clients and projects for both short- and long-term success of Minnesota Operations and the company.
    • Develop and execute business development plan for assigned market, ensuring that annual sales, client development and retention targets are met or exceeded.
    • Lead qualification, proposal and interview efforts with appropriate marketing and operational teams.
    • Use fiscally sound judgement to manage business development budget; analyzing and controlling expenditures to conform to budget requirements; including, recommending or approving the budget, expenditures, implementing ways to improve operational efficiencies, providing accurate reports, continuously reviewing return on investment and budget performance, etc.
    • Organize and lead client and/or market specific meetings, reports and action plans.
    • Maintain market and competitor intelligence in primary and secondary markets.
    • Review, develop, and establish “standard work”, metrics/benchmarks and guidelines to measure progress and drive the group towards continued success.
    • Coordinate with corporate and divisional marketing teams on brand strategies, messaging and public relations (i.e. trade publications, speaking engagements, award submissions, etc.)
    • Utilize and maintain an accurate and updated reporting structure tracking opportunities and relationships.
    • This position may also include other duties as assigned.
