PAY STATUS: Hourly

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervised by: Supervisor, Manufacturing
Supervises: N/A
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Able to interpret production documentation including order forms, customer’s special instructions, look-up tables, training sheets and other relevant process information
- Able to fashion mold surfaces and contours by hand, using modeling clay
- Able to perform assigned machine operating tasks and hand assembly tasks at expected production volume
- Able to use small to medium machinery in the department, such as band saws, table saws, punch press and benders
- Visually inspects material during the assembly process to prevent defects and scrap
- Responsible for quality of assembled product prior to and including their workstation
- Provides written suggestions for continuous improvement
- Assists with training of others
- Strict compliance to FDA and ISO control standards and record keeping
- Adheres to all safety policies
- Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S principles
- Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
- Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use machinery such as band saws, table saws, punch presses and benders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
- Bending, twisting and/or squatting may be required
- Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow work instructions
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
- Ability to be cross-trained
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection
- Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills
- Must have thorough understanding of quality systems and their relationship to job performance including ISO Overview, corrective/preventative actions and work instructions
- Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job
