- Responsible for performing Robotics simulations and validation of BIW assembly cells and lines
- Perform Simulations in DELMIA Robotics
- Build assembly cell in DELMIA Robotics, define process and perform simulation
- Analyze reachability of Robot, Collision checking, Robot payloads, Safe Stopping Distance, Cycle time validation, process and equipment optimization opportunities
- Analyze the simulation results and make necessary changes in equipment, Robot types, Guns, working with Fixture design team to solve the problems
- Prepare final assembly cell system layouts, necessary documentation and BOM
- Provide programming using DELMIA OLP
- Work with Assembly Engineers, Plant Engineers, Fixture Design team and Launch teams when necessary
Required Skills
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS :
- Good knowledge of BIW Assembly joining process – Spot welding, Arc welding, Adhesive, Nut welding, Riveting etc.
- Knowledge in Weld guns/Rivet Guns
- Knowledge of PLC’s, I/O Signals
- Experience in BIW Assembly cells and lines installation
- Familiarity with Catia / UG and AutoCAD software
