Must be proficient in general and vascular ultrasound exams.
Meets the standards as required by the ACR accreditation. Will serve as the technical director of the lab and will be responsible for the following:
Performance of ultrasound and vascular exams in the facility
General supervision of technical and ancillary staff
Delegation of specific responsibilities to the technical and ancillary staff
Daily technical operation of the laboratory
Operation and maintenance of facility equipment
Work with Medical Director, Radiology Director, medical staff and technical staff to ensure quality patient care and technical training, and perform quality measure required for the lab accreditation.
Promotes and direct accreditation activities ACR Lab accreditation. Collect and submits requirements to maintain SCR Lab Accreditations.
Works with the Director of Radiology to develop and maintain budget. Assists the Director of Radiology in developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining an approved budget.
Advises on the needs for department: supplies (cost and utilization), continuing education, ACR accreditation fees, equipment, personnel, and growth opportunity of lab.
Works to maintain satisfactory working relationships with Ultrasound supervisor, Radiology Director, physicians, ancillary departments, patients, patient’s family, and visitors.
Responsible for patient care, supplies, and equipment maintenance, and API (payroll).
General supervision of the technical staff and/or ancillary staff (e.g., staff scheduling, patient scheduling, emergency call coverage). Delegation, when warranted, of specific responsibilities to the technical staff and/or the ancillary staff.
Continues to develop professionalism through continuing education programs and in-services.
Complies with all policies of the system with the intention of delivering the highest quality of service.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE: 80 hours bi-weekly
QUALIFICATIONS /TRAINING:
Two years of Ultrasound experience required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:
BLS certification
RDMS/RT(S) and RVT/RVS registry required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must document at least 30 hours of job-related CME over a period of three years.
Credentialed in Ultrasound and registered in one of the following areas:
