    RESTAURANT SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS, LLC, A YUM! BRANDS CO-OP, IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A PROCUREMENT MANAGER TO JOIN THE EQUIPMENT PROCUREMENT TEAM IN LOUISVILLE, KY.

     

    OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:

    THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROCUREMENT LEADERSHIP AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT IN SUPPORT OF RESTAURANT REMODELS AND NEW STORE BUILDS FOR YUM! BRANDS (TACO BELL, KFC, AND PIZZA HUT) AND A&W.  THE SCOPE OF SPEND RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDES FF&E (FIXTURES, FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT), SIGNAGE, ARTWORK, HVAC, CHEMICALS, UNIFORMS, BUILDING MATERIALS AND OTHER CATEGORIES AS ASSIGNED.  THIS ROLE PLAYS A CRITICAL PART IN ENABLING THE BRANDS’ SUCCESS ACROSS NUMEROUS RESTAURANT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS EACH YEAR.  SECURING AND MAINTAINING INDUSTRY-LEADING COSTS ACROSS THE ASSIGNED SPEND AND EFFECTIVELY COLLABORATING WITH THE BRANDS, FRANCHISEES, AND SUPPLIERS TO DELIVERY PROGRAMS CRITICAL TO CONTINUED GROWTH AND INNOVATION ARE CORE EXPECTATIONS OF THIS POSITION.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    PROVIDE PROCUREMENT LEADERSHIP FOR ASSIGNED CATEGORIES TO SUPPORT SUPPLY CHAIN, BRAND AND OPERATOR TEAMS.  EXPERTLY MANAGE THE SUPPLIER BASE TO MINIMIZE COSTS, ENSURE SUPPLY, AND FOSTER EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS TO ENABLE SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS FOR YUM! BRANDS RESTAURANTS, A&W, AND RSCS MEMBERS.

     

    THIS ROLE IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL PROCUREMENT RELATED ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SOURCING, PRICE NEGOTIATIONS, SUPPLY PLANNING, RISK ANALYSIS, AND DATA SYSTEMS ACCURACY, AND SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT, FOR ASSIGNED CATEGORIES.

    • Act as equipment supply chain lead with Brand teams, Operators, Procurement teams, Suppliers, and Distributors for all equipment activities within assigned categories.

    • Follow formal Restaurant Margin Improvement processes for all cost negotiations, including standard approach and action steps, timelines, and required documentation.

    • Understand and consistently execute all required legal documents covering assigned responsibilities, including, but not limited to, Supplier Business Relationship Agreement, Test Development Agreement, and Supplier Commitment Letters.

    • Consistently meet all responsibilities and complete required activities with the highest level of integrity, collaboration, and transparency.

    • Coordinate supply sourcing and planning for key items, Brand projects, rollouts, and general replacement volumes.

    • Actively deliver value to the Operator community while ensuring uninterrupted supply.

    LEAD SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT EFFORTS FOR ASSIGNED CATEGORIES

    • Meet or exceed all equipment spend and cost savings objectives against approved annual operating plan.
    • Manage all pricing action requests and negotiations, including information requests, quotes, value engineering efforts, timelines, etc.
    • Develop and maintain strong trust relationships with all suppliers.
    • Assertively manage assigned categories and suppliers to lower or control costs and ensure supply.
    • Support efforts to document Total Cost in Use models.
    • Schedule, manage, and coordinate regular supplier review documents and processes for your suppliers.
    • Monitor supply and proactively report potential issues.

     

    ACT AS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME) FOR ASSIGNED CATEGORIES

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, innovation ideas, and general specifications for assigned categories.
    • Maintain in depth knowledge of the current supplier base and competitive landscape for assigned items.
    • Support Brand teams in data gathering, comparisons, and innovation projects for assigned items.
    • Represent RSCS equipment team at any meetings or forums that cover assigned categories.

    Required Skills

    • Minimum of 5 to 10 years business experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Program Management
    • Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer MBA or Master’s.
    • Prefer specific experience purchasing seating, signage, lighting, etc.
    • Prefer business experience within the food service industry. Quick service restaurant experience desired. Related experience in other industries, logistics, or commercial equipment may substitute. International procurement experience a benefit.
    • Strong Supply Chain Procurement experience is required and critical for this position.
    • Prefer experience in Supply Chain Procurement Management.
    • Documented history of strong purchasing, sales, and/or supply management success.
    • Ability to work at an elevated pace with efficiency and precision and a bias toward action.
    • Construction or design experience, familiarity with schematics, mechanical drawings, specifications, or building plans a benefit.
    • Self-starter with ability to deliver results without daily supervision.
    • Must have strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on interpersonal and consensus building capabilities. Must enjoy interacting with a diverse team.
