Job Description

R.S. Hughes is searching for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to perform the following functions:

• G/L responsibility for A/R and A/R-related accounts.
• Process and/or review customer payments.
• Communicate with divisions and/or customers regarding payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile daily deposits to bank.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Manage journal entries to record miscellaneous deposits or correct posting errors.
• Audit customer accounts for accuracy.
• Review all Credit Memos for accuracy and posting.
• Perform filing, research, and special projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of high-volume accounting experience.
• Interact positively with customers and other employees.
• Be detail-oriented.
• Consistently demonstrate high productivity and a strong work ethic.
• Think critically and analytically.
• Proficient Excel and math skills.
