  • Responsibilities
    • Manage and support daily accounting duties including Account Receivables, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll, Cash Flow, Capital Expenditures and Inventory.

    • Manage the Month End Close process and support CFO with the preparation of monthly financials including, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP.

      • Maintain a journal entry system that provides proper supporting information for all JE’s made to the accounting records.

      • Perform account analysis and account reconciliations.

      • Prepare supplemental management reports and a monthly business reporting package.

    • Prepare daily production and performance reports, analyzing labor efficiency, productivity, scrap expense and material and overhead spending.

      • Perform detailed variance analysis, identifying areas to improve profits, reduce costs, and develop business strategies.
    • Maintain internal control matrix and perform ongoing reviews of processes, policies, and controls, recommending improvements and driving change.

      • Order to Cash Management(OTC) – Manage the company’s Order to Cash Process and internal controls including bookings, credit management, revenue recognition, and collections efforts and processing.

        • Revenue Recognition - Analyze contracts with customers, maintain and improve processes to monitor and report revenue according to GAAP.
      • Source to Pay (STP) - Manage the company’s Source to Pay process from purchase order requisition to vendor invoicing, vouchering and payment processing.

      • Cash Management – Manage the company’s bank activities and controls, prepare cash reports, ensuring the accuracy of cash reporting.

      • Fixed Asset Management –implement controls and asset tagging improvements, manage the authorization for expenditure (assist business unit with project submission, review project status, and monitor for closing and supplementing).

      • Inventory Management– Manage cycle count and physical inventory process and controls.

    • Assist CFO in the preparation of the company’s Budget and monitor the company’s actual performance against the current budget and business plan.

    • Coordinate financial audits with various external agencies and manage the annual certified audit in collaboration with CFO.

    • Tax filings - ensure timely filing of all regulatory reporting including local, state and federal taxation forms.

     

    Must have solid financial statement and a manufacturing background – must be comfortable working with ERP systems to improve overall operating efficiency.  Aerospace and working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing is a plus.

     

      

    The candidate will have the following:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus
    2. Solid experience in manufacturing accounting & corporate finance;
    3. Experience with a small company (between 75 - 100 employees);
    4. Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables, graphs and data analysis;
    5. Stable work record.
