    THIS POSITION IS FOR AN INTERN WHO WILL BE ENTERING THEIR SOPHOMORE YEAR BY THE START OF SUMMER 2022

JOB SUMMARY: Our team of talented engineers collaborates across disciplines from initial concepts to product sell off, integrates complex technology, debugs and resolves interface issues, evaluates system performance, demonstrates and sells off state-of-the-art products for areas including radars, command and control platforms, missile systems, and cyber defense. Opportunities for recent Engineering graduates exist within the Weapons and Platforms Center under Systems Integration and Test. Our teams are responsible for integration, verification, and test execution at all levels, both in the lab and in the field, for formal system verification and qualification, and associated examination of test data. Our teams contribute through all phases of the product development lifecycle, within an interdisciplinary process that ensures the customer and warfighters needs are satisfied through every stage. This commitment to excellence can include opportunities for travel, and flexible hours/shifts in order to ensure programmatic milestones are met. RESPONSIBILITIES TO ANTICIPATE:

    • Support integration and test strategy development, planning, and execution in our labs, or on the aircraft or ship platform
    • Troubleshooting and failure data, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
    • Complete and compiled detailed performance processes, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
    • Support test events, including flight test and field events
    • Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders

    This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post-Graduate based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:

    • Freshman Technical Intern- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
    • Sophomore Technical Intern- must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship
    • Junior Technical Intern- must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship
    • Senior Technical Intern- must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship
    • Post-Graduate Technical Intern- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

    QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Must be a Sophomore by the start of summer 2022 in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
    • Experience using laboratory equipment, electronics, and/or software (examples include: an oscilloscope, DMM, spectrum analyzer, and Matlab)
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance PRIOR TO THE START DATE. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    QUALIFICATIONS WE VALUE:

    • Course work with C++ and experience with requirement management tools
    • ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures
    • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles
