Responsible for the design development and construction support of new variable transformer products, special products, product modifications and changes to standard products. This will include drawing activities (layout and detail) and component specification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Layout and design new variable transformer products or modification to existing products.(transformer knowledge is a plus)

2. Specify component parts.

3. Develop system schematics and wiring diagrams to appropriate industry standards.

4. Develop drawings required including specification control, assembly detail and proposal drawings for sales.

5. Develop BOM’s for sales order and quotations.

6. Perform cost analysis as required.

7. Verify design and production in compliance with various Agency approvals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BSEE with 3 years of experience in electrical design. Experience with transformers, or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus. Specific experience with three-phase power is desirable.

In this managers motor experience those who ever dealt with low power/low current will not adapt well to the variable transformer systems they are expecting them to work on. EE and the purist electronics (board level design) did not carry over well to emag while the inverse was more favorable. They would take a “motor” person , but in the end of the day, this person is responsible for sizing / supporting / EE work related to the systems the company builds.
