    SALARY: $54,000 to $65,000 (Commensurate with Experience)

    We are a rapidly growing biotechnology company currently expanding research, development and manufacturing facilities in Athens, Georgia. We manufacture bio-based polymers with a goal of replacing (yes, replacing) petroleum-based plastics. Our biopolymers are completely bio-based, made from renewable resources and are 100% biodegradable, compostable and recyclable.

    We are in search of a Human Resource Professional who can bring their talents to help coordinate our HR efforts and contribute as a key member of our team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Develop and administer HR plans and procedures that demonstrate the company deeply values our staff members

    · Assist in the planning and organization of HR department activities

    · Contribute to the development of HR department goals, objectives and systems

    · Create and revise job descriptions

    · Develop, optimize and recommend personnel policies and procedures

    · Assist team to ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations and maintaining records

    · Support, analyze and update performance evaluation program

    · Oversee benefits administration

    · Assist management in classifying employees

    · Assist in recruitment including writing and placing job ads

    · Conduct new employee orientation and employee relation counseling

    · Maintain HR Department records and reports

    · Perform other duties as may be required

    REQUIREMENTS:

    · Bachelor’s degree in business management with concentration in HR or equivalent

    · Professionally certified by SHRM and/or HRCI

    · 3+ years of HR experience preferred

    · Experience with manufacturing HR operations a plus

    · Available for immediate hire

    · Customer service oriented communication skills as well as ability to communicate with high-level management

    · Full time (overtime may be required from time to time to help change the world)
