Job Description

We are seeking a GMC/Quadient Developer to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for creating and modifying templates and composition files as well as creating workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze user needs and develop workflow solutions
• Work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
• Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
• Document all programming tasks and procedures
• Perform routine software maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
• Knowledge of c# and GMC script programming languages
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• A heavy emphasis on development and support of internal applications that generate AFP, Postscript, and/or PDF files to drive variable digital print devices.
• 3+ years of application development experience using Quadient.
• Solid knowledge of Quadient Inspire is required.
• Experience in print manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Experience with AFP, PDF, PostScript programming, XML is a plus.
• Experience in developing GMC workflows using scripting and variable data inputs based on individual solution requirements.
