    Job Description

    Racepoint Energy is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Electrician / Project Manager to work with our Systems Engineering Division. Successful candidates will work in collaboration with our installation partners, sales, and engineering teams to manage projects, support clients/installing contractors, and provide product installation training.

    Roles / Responsibilities

    • Project Management/Contractor Product Support on West Coast
    • Meet with clients/customers in person and via web meetings
    • Assist installing contractor with all supporting racepoint documentation necessary for permitting project
    • Email correspondence with installing contractors and clients as needed
    • Visit projects for contractor support as needed
    • Provide project updates to Racepoint team on project progression
    • Support engineering team on lab testing for microgrids development and test
    • Attend job site visits as needed
    • Assist on electrical system design/integration for Microgrid installations on assigned projects as needed
    • Provide training and support to electricians as needed on the West Coast
    • Support sales team as needed
    • Attend site visits or conference calls as needed with sales team for contractor support
    • Answer any technical questions for sales team as needed Requirements
  • Qualifications

    Requirements

    • Must hold a CA electrical license or a West Coast electrical license equivalent to a Journeyman
    • Must have extensive knowledge on the NEC (NFPA70)
    • Must have extensive knowledge on electrical services and distribution equipment
    • Must have basic knowledge on generator installations
    • Proficient with computer skills (email, calendar apps, Microsoft Word/Excel)
    • Must be able to travel to sites as needed for site visits/meet with contractor
    • Must be able to read schematic and construction plans
    • Must have professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be able to manage time efficiently

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Solar and Energy Storage Systems
    • Project Management experience (Residential and Commercial)
    • UL Standards / Requirements
