IT Developer

NOTE: This is an onsite/in office position located in Buford, Georgia.

The IT Developer is heavily involved in designing and deploying solutions as well as improving day-to-day business operations. This includes primarily designing and developing NetSuite deliverables through scripting and building API connections with external systems. It also includes working on other software development projects that may not pertain to NetSuite as directed by the IT Director. This position works closely with the IT team and other NetSuite personnel.

• In coordination with administrators, execute solution design activities, including developing, testing, and deploying customizations, custom objects, third party integrations and new NetSuite functionality based on evolving business needs.
• Lead customization and integration project efforts including scoping, requirements gathering and analysis, solution architecture, documentation, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with technical teams and product stakeholders to ensure design and implementation is aligned with business requirements.
• Automate and customize NetSuite ERP processes as needed to meet business needs.
• Partner directly with IT leaders, other NetSuite developers and administrators, and outside development contractors.
• Investigate and resolve software errors to ensure smooth business operation.
• Communicate with other team members and internal users regarding project status, technical issues, and creative solutions.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 2+ years in JavaScript Development; or an acceptable combination of education and equivalent experience.
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodology.
• Proficiency with building and communicating with RESTful API endpoints. Postman experience a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects under guidance of IT leadership.
• Aptitude in developing and maintaining workflows and processes.
• Proficiency in designing SQL databases, writing SQL queries, and/or other database technologies.
• Familiarity with general business processes such as lead to cash, inventory management, and procure to pay.
• Strong foundation in programming with proficiency in multiple paradigms including object-oriented and functional languages as well as the quick adaptability to new programming languages.
