Job Description

Under the direction of the Corporate IT Manager, perform a variety of duties to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance and seamless use of IT infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Responsible for general maintenance of computers and computer equipment in the company and for resolving identified technical problems.
• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues in the company. Provide user support via telephone, email and face-to-face contact.
• Receive and set up hardware. Install or delete software, as required.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose computer equipment failures; repair as required and recover any lost or accidentally deleted data.
• Track, prioritize and document requests, completing logs and routine reports as required.
• Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal. - Install and test new software, making software available to appropriate users. Ensure the anti-virus software is installed, properly configured, regularly updated and working properly on all PC and server stations. -  Provide end user training and assistance where required. -  Assist IT Manager in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware needs. -  Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations. -  Set up, maintain and remove user network accounts where necessary.
• Carry out routine network maintenance tasks.
