    We are seeking an energetic Director of Distribution that is familiar with the shipping requirements of major retailers. This highly analytical person must be able to focus in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. This person will oversee our Shorewood, IL facility while ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.  The facility is 500k sq ft, 225 employees, its highly automated with 4 pick modules, high speed conveyors, RF and pick to light technologies and uses a Manhattan Associates warehouse management system.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Hire, develop and discipline employees in a fair and consistent manner ensuring compliance with Corporate policies and procedures
    • Communicate with both internal and external customers on business-related issues as required
    • Manage the receipt and storage of inventories, the maintenance of accurate quantities with the warehouse management system, and the shipments of such within customer instructions on a timely basis
    • Investigate process failures, prepare Corrective Action Plans, and monitor process improvements to ensure effective corrective action is taken
    • Prepare budgets, re-forecasts, roll forwards and supporting schedules
    • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce our overall supply chain costs and improve customer service levels
    • Ensure all claims for customer shortage or damage are processed appropriately
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all Corporate, Local, State and Federal policies, laws and regulations

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience required
    • At least 8 years’ experience in automated warehousing and distribution including 3 years supervisory experience with at least 25 employees
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Prior experience with integration with warehouse management systems required
