      • Current, full, and unrestricted license
      • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
      • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T) certification
      • Knowledge of consultations, simulation, and treatment planning and treatment procedures.

    What does a typical day look like for the Radiation Therapist?

    You will:

    • Monday-Friday 7 am-3:30 pm EST.
    • Direct Patient Care: estimated 99% of the time is involved in direct patient care.
    • Provide Radiology procedures, including, but not limited to: CT treatment planning scans for treatment planning/tumor localization, compensatory and customized patient immobilization devices.
    • Properly warm up, QA, and operate the CT simulator, LAP Lasers, and Bayer contrast injector. Maintains QA information in a physics-approved location.
    • Deliver the prescribed therapeutic radiation for cancer therapy treatments performed by operating a Treatment Machine.
    • Complete a thorough chart check using CPRS and ARIA EMR before the patient's treatment. Bring any errors or concerns to the attention of the physician, physicist, or dosimetrist.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:

    • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
    • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T) certification.
    • Well-versed in the APEX program standards.
    • Knowledge of consultations, simulation, and treatment planning and treatment procedures.
    • The ability to determine the appropriate, timely sequence for patient studies and any special orders required.
    • State of PA Certification.

    If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.
