Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role requires a solid understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and various imaging techniques, including CT scans and sonography. The Radiologic Technologist will work closely with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations in an urgent care setting.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic procedures using a C-arm digital x-ray machine (Swiss Ray)
- Ensure patient safety by following aseptic techniques and adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Position patients accurately to obtain the best possible images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning properly; report any issues as necessary.
- Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and results obtained.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist or in a similar role within the healthcare field.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology practices.
- Familiarity with various imaging modalities such as CT scans and sonography is preferred.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations efficiently while ensuring patient comfort.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care in an urgent care environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active LMRT or RT license in Texas
