A leading Westchester hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join its growing Radiology team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple ambulatory and hospital-based settings while utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
- Properly prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and review completed studies for accuracy and completeness
- Assist physicians during special procedures as needed
- Educate patients and family members regarding examinations and answer questions appropriately
- Process images and maintain accurate documentation within RIS, PACS, and EMR systems
- Perform equipment quality assurance checks and report equipment issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide clinical guidance and instruction to radiology students when assigned
- Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License or Limited Permit
- ARRT Certification (R) or eligibility for certification
- Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
Schedule
Salary and Bonus
- $41.00 - $52.00/hr + Shift Differential
- $7,000 Sign-On Bonus
