  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking to contract a Diagnostic Radiologist with demonstrated competency in neuroimaging reads to provide onsite diagnostic radiology services for our military Veterans through a long-term VA Medical Center (VAMC) contract.

    • Schedule: Three onsite weekdays per week
    • Preferred Days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
    • Schedule Flexibility: Other three-day schedules Monday through Friday may be considered, subject to VA approval
    • Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
    • Location: Onsite at the VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA
    • Call: No call coverage required
    • Pay: $300–310/hour

    Contract Description/Overview:

    Your services will support the Veterans Health Administration by providing high-quality onsite diagnostic radiology services for our nation’s Veterans. The ideal physician will have strong diagnostic radiology experience with demonstrated competency in neuroimaging interpretation.

    This is a long-term contract opportunity offering a consistent three-day-per-week schedule with no call requirements.

    • Provide professional Diagnostic Radiology services onsite at the VA Medical Center.
    • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies accurately and efficiently in accordance with VA standards and established clinical practices.
    • Demonstrate competency and experience in neuroimaging reads.
    • Review imaging studies and provide timely, accurate diagnostic interpretations and reports.
    • Collaborate with VA physicians and other healthcare professionals when imaging findings require clinical consultation or clarification.
    • Perform all contracted clinical hours onsite at the VA Medical Center.
    • Work three weekdays per week from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
    • The VA's preferred schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
    • Qualified physicians who are available for another three-day schedule between Monday and Friday may be presented to the VA for consideration.
    • No call coverage is required.
    • Maintain compliance with applicable VA policies, procedures, credentialing requirements, and standards of care.

    Education/Qualifications:

    Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Physician trained in Diagnostic Radiology.
    • Demonstrated competency in neuroimaging reads.
    • Must be Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology, OR Board Eligible if within four years of completing residency.
    • Must possess the appropriate medical education, training, and clinical experience necessary to independently provide diagnostic radiology services.
    • Must be able to successfully complete all applicable VA credentialing and privileging requirements prior to providing services.
    • Must be comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and other members of the VA healthcare team.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Must be willing to comply with all applicable VA policies, procedures, privacy, security, and documentation requirements.
