    PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to fill a position with a Radiologist Physician for a client in Bronx, NY 10468.

    LOCATION

    It is a leading facility within the Veterans Health Administration, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and specialty services to Veterans. The Radiology Service plays a critical role in diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions, with a focus on patient safety, quality care, and service excellence.


    **POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist with subspecialty expertise in Interventional Radiology and proficiency in diagnostic radiology modalities, including Abdominal/GU, Breast Imaging, Cardiovascular, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, and General Radiology. This physician will deliver onsite radiology services in accordance with American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for Veterans.

    The role involves high-level clinical skill, adherence to VA and VHA directives, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    Clinical Services

    • Perform interventional radiology procedures and diagnostic imaging studies per ACR standards.
    • Interpret imaging studies including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
    • Provide consultation to referring physicians regarding imaging results and recommended follow-up.
    • Perform procedures such as biopsies, drainages, angiography, vascular access, and other minimally invasive interventions.
    • Utilize the VA's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and VISTA Imaging for documentation and reporting.

    Patient Care

    • Ensure patient safety during imaging and interventional procedures.
    • Communicate findings and procedural outcomes clearly to patients and care teams.
    • Participate in pre- and post-procedure patient management.

    Compliance & Standards

    • Adhere to all VHA directives including patient privacy, infection control, privileging, and credentialing requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date clinical privileges and comply with all continuing medical education (CME) requirements.
    • Follow OSHA regulations and infection control protocols including proof of immunity and vaccinations.

    Collaboration

    • Work with multidisciplinary teams including other radiologists, physicians, nurses, technologists, and administrative staff.
    • Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
    • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
    • Documented technical proficiency in interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
    • Completion of all required VA-mandated training, including infection control, HIPAA, patient safety, and emergency preparedness.
    • Proof of immunizations: TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and annual influenza vaccination (or exemption with mask requirement).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working within the Veterans Health Administration or other federal healthcare systems.
    • Familiarity with VA imaging systems, including VISTA and PACS.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a hospital environment.

    Work Schedule:

    • Full-time onsite coverage, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • On-call/call-back duties as assigned, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Coverage during physician absences to ensure continuity of radiology services.
