Job Summary
We are seeking a Radiology Technician to join our team! As a Radiology Technician, you will be preparing patients for their procedures by adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and changing controls and exposure to capture the required results. You will also be assisting in maintaining and cleaning radiology equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining an inventory of daily supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, prior experience working in a medical setting, and excellent attention to detail. Of important note, you must be able to function as a medical assistant as well. This includes patient check-in, intake, check-out, scheduling appointments, sending referrals/orders, assisting patients on and off exam table, assist with or prepare for procedures as needed.
Responsibilities
Get to know patients to understand their medical needs and concerns, building and maintaining connections
Set up equipment for testing, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, and adjust exposure to get the proper results
Thoroughly document all patient services within a patient’s chart
Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and call in for repairs when necessary
Follow all required safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear, to maintain a safe work environment
Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
Clean instruments and equipment after use
Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures
Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties
Shared tasks to include cleaning of facility, inventory, stocking supplies.
Keep up to date with mandatory compliance training.
Cooperating as a team with other staff members on any tasks related to patient care and clinic operations.
Qualifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with medical charting desired
Strong attention to detail
