Position: Radiology tech (Per Diem)

Pay: $50-$55 per hour
Position Summary
The Radiology Technologist (Per Diem) is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by a radiologist. The technologist ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
Perform radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
Position patients correctly and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images.
Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
Verify patient identity and review imaging requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment; report any malfunctions promptly.
Provide compassionate patient care and ensure a positive imaging experience.
Assist radiologists and other healthcare providers as needed during procedures.
Adhere to all hospital, state, and federal regulations including HIPAA compliance.
Participate in continuing education to stay current with imaging techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification:
ARRT (R) certification required.
Current State Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through AHA required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology experience preferred
Skills:
Strong technical and anatomical knowledge.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
